Sawhelper FAQs

Will the Ultrafence work with my saw?
Yes. The mounting system of the Ultrafence is universal. Over the years, our hardware has been bolted to the side of virtually every chop saw manufactured. There are a couple saws, including the Rigid 1290, that require auxiliary brackets. Just call or email with any questions.

I'm really excited about the Kapex from Festool. Will I be able to use my Ultrafence with this new saw?
Absolutely. We have mounting brackets specifically designed for the Kapex. Simply attach these new brackets to the side of your Kapex and you're good to go. Click here for more information.

Isn't the Sawhelper Ultrafence just for finish carpenters?
On the contrary. Finish carpenters were simply the first to take advantage of the Ultrafence features. Speed, accuracy and convenience shouldn't be limited to just the finish guys. We have customers in virtually every part of the building trades, from framers to finish, door and window manufacturers, even metal fabricators use our equipment.

I've heard that the initial setup is hard. Is it?
No, it is just "putzy". Initial setup is very important as this is the one time you will make all the critical adjustments that make the Ultrafence the most accurate setup on the market. The mounting hardware is bolted directly to the saw and the wings must be properly aligned. This is best done when you have a couple hours to spare (not on-site Monday morning). This process will also allow you to get familiar with the Ultrafence and how all the different features work together.

The good news: once it's set up and aligned, you don't need to touch it again. Take it out, set it up and go.

My guys are tough on equipment. Will the Ultrafence hold up?
No worries. The Ultrafence has been abused over the past 20-odd years by some of the meanest, nastiest carps to ever load a truck from the second story. We do what we can to make these tools "crew-proof" - heavy-duty steel components, welded hardware, high-grade aluminum extrusions and more. Let's put it this way: if they kill the Ultrafence, you may want to seriously reconsider your hiring practices.

Are Sawhelper products covered by a warranty?
Only the best in the industry. Sawhelper products all carry a limited lifetime warranty against defects in workmanship.

What if I decide the Ultrafence isn't for me?
You won't. But, for the record, we have a 30 day money-back return policy on all Sawhelper products.

Can Sawhelper fence/stop systems be used with other pieces of equipment?
Absolutely. Our Jigfence is ideal for bringing precision production capability to any number of stationary tools: miter saws, cutoff saws, radial arm saws and more. The Ultrafence, too, makes a great system for accurately and rapidly cutting a variety of materials: steel, aluminum, vinyl and more.

I lost my instruction manual. Where can I get another one?
You can download the manual right here.

Do you ship to Canada?
We do. Please email us for a shipping quote.

He**, I don't need that - I can build one myself!
Is that a question? The Ultrafence is not intended to deny anyone the fun and challenge of building their own setup. We just offer ease-of-use, portability, accuracy, repeatability and longevity. Delivered to your doorstep. With one phone call. Hmmm...
